MIKE
ALSTON

Managing Director


Mike started working on scientific and technical aspects of Repco Engineering Foundry in 1977 and holds qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Information Systems and Management. In 1985 he became General Manager of Hayes Metal Refineries, a non-ferrous ingot manufacturer. After many years there, followed by 2 years of travelling, Mike formed MetCast Services Ltd in 1997. Mike has visited many molten metal related companies and events globally. He worked for the foundry industry association, Casting Technology NZ Inc, for many years. He organised more international and national conferences than he cares to remember, and is past Chairman. Currently his hobbies include mentoring skilled immigrants to find meaningful work.

GORDON
MULDREW

General Manager


Gordon holds an Advanced Trade Certificate in Moulding and a Certificate from the AFS in Gating & Riser Design. He has been involved in the metal casting industry since 1983 specializing in methoding and computer simulation. Gordon currently sits on the Board of Governors, Casting Technology New Zealand Inc and is a former Chairman.

DAMIEN
HOND

Kaikaha Group COO


Damien joined Kaikaha Group in 2018, bringing strong strategic and operational skills to the business.

Damien has a Chemistry Degree from Waikato University and an Environmental Science Diploma from the University of Auckland.

Senior positions in multi-national businesses (ExxonMobil, Nuplex and Brenntag Group) has given Damien broad experience in all business aspects with particular skills in sales management and business development. This experience now enhances the existing quality management team at Kaikaha Group Companies i.e. Hibiscus, Metcast Garage Door Solutions.

Damien is specifically looking to form relationships with world leading brands of raw material suppliers in the world that.

STEPH
FERGUSON

Group Services Manager


Steph holds an Engineering Degree in Chemical and Materials from Auckland University. Before joining MetCast in 1998 she worked in materials scientific research and as Technical Manager for a global manufacturing company.

DAVID
WINCHESTER

Key Account Manager


David holds a New Zealand Certificate in Science, Metallurgy. He has been involved in the foundry industry since 1980, initially as a laboratory technician and he later filled roles as foreman and purchasing manager at New Zealand`s largest iron foundry. David then went to work on the supply side of the casting industry with Foseco, starting as a Technical Representative and moving on to roles as Sales Manager and then NZ Manager. David worked for Foseco for 25 years before joining the MetCast team as Key Account Manager in July 2019.

TEIXEIRA

Customer Services and Internet Technologies


Lara has a varied background, from customer services and content creating to owning several Fast-food stores in South Africa. She holds a certificate in Broadcast Television and is a self published children's book author.
