Mike started working on scientific and technical aspects of Repco Engineering Foundry in 1977 and holds qualifications in Metallurgy, Chemistry, Information Systems and Management. In 1985 he became General Manager of Hayes Metal Refineries, a non-ferrous ingot manufacturer. After many years there, followed by two years of travelling, Mike formed MetCast Services Ltd in 1997. Mike has visited many molten metal related companies and events globally. He worked for the foundry industry association, Casting Technology NZ Inc, for many years. He organised more international and national conferences than he cares to remember, and is past Chairman. Currently his hobbies include mentoring skilled immigrants to find meaningful work through Omega www.omega.org.nz and restoring the historic 105 year old ferry boat, the Kestrel www.thekestrel.org.nz

Steph holds an Engineering Degree in Chemical and Materials from Auckland University. Before joining MetCast 12 years ago she worked in materials scientific research and as Technical Manager for a global manufacturing company.

Gordon holds an Advanced Trade Certificate in Moulding and a Certificate from the AFS in Gating & Riser Design. He has been involved in the metal casting industry for over 25 years specialising in methoding and computer simulation. Gordon currently sits on the Board of Governors, Casting Technology New Zealand Inc.

Charles holds a Masters Degree in Metallurgy & Casting Technologies from the Hungarian Technical University and an Industrial Chemical Laboratory Technician Certificate. He has been involved in chemical and metal forming industries for over 30 years. His main focus has been metal casting and this has led to extensive work experience in different metals including Cast Iron & Steel, Tool Steel, Aluminium and various technologies including sand casting, die-casting, forging and extrusion. He has hands on experience with various Quality Management Systems (ISO, GM and FORD SQA, APPQP, PFMEA, 6Sigma, 5S, Visual Factory etc). Charles has lived and worked in many different countries including New Zealand, Europe, China, Australia and the USA.

Guo Jian lived in China and Canada before migrating to New Zealand in 2003. She gained a Diploma in Business Administration in Canada and a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Marketing) in New Zealand.

Jacob worked as a General Manager for a Resort in Samoa before he came to New Zealand in 2006. He is a qualified Swedish Head Chef with a Business Diploma. He also holds a double title as a World Table Hockey Champion.
